Gee, thanks!  That looks like a major project.  I'd be happy to help
out with bits (I'm already trying to improve c-tree.texi, but it's
just local to me at the moment), but it's too big a job for one person
unless that person is really motivated.  I think it's fair to say that
almost none of it is done to even a reasonable level of completeness
(I don't consider c-tree.texi to be much beyond 5 or 10% of where we
want it).

If you would like to see such a manual written, I think it would
arrive faster if you created an outline .texi file along the lines of
your mail, with empty chapters, and then left them to be filled in by
whomever felt motivated; such a project could be put on the projects
list, and would even be a good beginner's project I think.

Without an outline, I think it'll be harder to get off the ground.
