You probably have an old version of pod2man. "Old" in this case means
"not brand new"; the version that came with perl 5.6.0 is too old.
The one that comes with perl 5.6.1 works, and there were a few
revisions of podlators before that that worked too. I think 1.09
might have been the magic number.
