Excellent, thanks for the offer. To proceed, I'd need to know a couple of
things:
* Is the patch acceptable for 3.0, provided that the copyright stuff can be
worked out?
* Do we really need an assignment for this? Andy indicated in private mail
that the original version (without comments) he sent to SGI was in the
public domain.
* If we do need one, how to proceed? Especially, is there any remote
chance to get this through the FSF in time for the 3.0 release?
