I did the testing now and applied your patch with an updated ChangeLog
entry to both branches:
2001-05-31 Rodney Brown <rbrown64@csc.com.au>
* install.texi (Configuration): Add html links for --with-gnu-as &
--with-gnu-ld and refer to them from hppa & SCO triplets.
(Specific): Link back to with-gnu-ld for all ELF platfoms.
(Specific): Reword AVR binutils recommendation.
Hint: Even if you do not use Emacs for regular editing, it's ChangeLog
editing mode (command: add-changelog-entry) is most excellent, and saves
a lot of work. I wouldn't want to be without that any longer! ;-)
Thanks for the patch, and sorry for the delay!
Gerald
PS: Joseph, I'm aware of the problems with the HTML markup, but in time
for the GCC 3.0 release we must focus on getting the contents per se and
the HTML and text versions right, as this would be a regression. Of course
we do want to improve this stuff in general, but I see this as a kind of
fixpoint operation.
