So is there a CVS branch gcc-3_1-branch, or it is still on your private work
space? Is there anyway I can have access to this development branch (not
necessary a working one)?

No. It is still on the 3.1 development branch.
There are some remaining problems that I'm working hard to
resolve before I can destabilize the 3.0 branch.
