I've just committed this patch, per an earlier general request for
additions.
[Toon Moene, Dave Love, Richard Henderson, Tim Prince, et al: if
y'all could review the documents referenced here and see whether
pointers to "rebuttals" to the "Differences..." document referenced
here should be added, I think that'd be great. With this addition,
I'm concerned for the lack of balance in the presentation of opinion
regarding the 80-bit-spill issue, as I think the fact that gcc doesn't
support them at this time doesn't provide much of a counter-argument
at this time. In particular, I'm concerned that we might be presenting
only anti-Intel arguments, by virtue of the slow performance y'all
say 80-bit spills would incur.]
