We are not restricting folks to GNU make. We are restricting them to
a Posix compliant make.
Last I heard Stunos does not supply a Posix complaint make. We will not be
installing patches to work around bugs in Stunos make.
If there are parts of these patches which are needed for Posix complaint makes,
then please separate them out and submit them separately.
