Like by using that patch as a piece of the necessary
infrastructure, or as by scrapping it and use a completely
different approach?
If somebody would contribute thoughts about *when* to do
line-wrap, I could fix it up, otherwise I think it does more to
help (by the existance of the XX_cont functions) than hinder
adding word-wrapping some time later.

Dunno. I have no plans or incentive to do this, if that's what
you're asking (*sigh* all I wanted was to have better ICE
messages).
