It was there (a fossil, I think), but I made it LIBS for consistency.
I should have bundled up the final patch for you, but have been trying
to get time to make libf2c rebuild properly; will do soon. (Sorry for
installing it directly, but it seemed uncontentious and was in the
way.)

I thought it best just to document the possible need for linking it
explicitly on the (presumably rather rare) occasions people call
hostnm on the relevant systems.
