BTW, the g77 egcs/gcc/f/Makefile.in file contains a rule to
remake the dependencies list automatically, named `deps-kinda'.
It doesn't really work cleanly vis-a-vis separate build and
source directories these days.
But what might be interesting is how it produces these dependencies,
with automatic substitution of $(RTL_H) and the like. By "interesting"
I mean just that -- not perhaps worth lifting wholesale into gcc,
just another example of how the problem might be solved.
