Try

ldd /usr/local2/libexec/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.5.1/ecj1

LD_LIBRARY_PATH problems?  Maybe LD_LIBRARY_PATH doesn't include the
dir that contains libgcj_bc.so.1?
