Ah!  I have Fedora Core 5 and CentOS 5.2 and the only place I can find
_X_HIDDEN defined is in /usr/include/X11/Xfuncproto.h.

Perhaps you need to somehow, someway include that file.  X11 is _not_ my
specialty so I'm not sure what order or means have been provided for getting
to X11 calls.  But, I can only find it one place.
