I also noticed that Thomas started with gmake but the gcc scripts
reverted to make near the roor point =>
/xatexit.o ./xexit.o ./xmalloc.o ./xmemdup.o ./xstrdup.o
./xstrerror.o ./xstrndup.o > required-list
make "AR_FLAGS=rc" "CC_FOR_BUILD=gcc" "CFLAGS=-g -O2" "CXXFLAGS=-g
Try 'ln -s gmake make' in your build directory and see what happens.
