Hello,
I installed g77 on my Mac [PowerBook G3 (OSX 10.2.8)]
using fink commander. When I try to compile fortran, I
get the message:
g77: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory


I think you need this:
http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/as
