I did notice when I try to compile it with --with-cpu=pentium4 (as I
usually do with gcc) -- it bombs with this:
make[4]: Entering directory `/usr/obj/gcc'
./xgcc -B./ -B/usr/local/i386-pc-solaris2.10/bin/ -isystem
/usr/local/i386-pc-solaris2.10/include -isystem

-c /usr/gcc-4.0.0/gcc/config/i386/gmon-sol2.c -o amd64/gmon.o

make[4]: *** [amd64/gmon.o] Error 1
-m64 ??? - this is no 64bit processor here!!
How do I bootstrap gcc 4.0.0 for '--with-cpu=pentium4' default if it
tries to use -m64 ?
PS. I am running solaris 10 on x86 pentium4 3.06ghz
