Subject: some doubts...

Hi,
    Here is some doubts of mine.
1. Is that GCC is needed for all the platforms such as
Linux SuSE, Windows, Solaris, ect?
2. Why GCC is not needed for Linux? 
3. Why GtkAda needed the version of GCC which is 3.2
or later?
