Hi,

I am having the same problem that particular step has been running 96+ hours
for me so far.
I was curious if you got past the problem?

My Platform is simlar to yours:
  make -v
  GNU Make 3.80
  Platform: powerpc-ibm-aix5.2.0.0
  GCC version: 3.3.2
  Configure: --enable-threads=aix --disable-nls
  Make: bootstrap-lean
