went over to the gdb website and looked for similar bugs reported. this
same problem is number 3 (!!) in the database, reported 4 years ago.
Status = unassigned.
IMHO, this is a gdb problem, not g77. Understand that fact is not
helpful in the least bit for you.
may i suggest the print* statement :)
