Weird Error while Building 3.3.2 on hp

Hi,
I am trying to do a simple build of version 3.3.2 on hp, but am getting an
error that I don't understand. What I am doing is very straight forward.
I just do the following configuration:
gcc-3.3.2/configure --prefix=my_installation_dir
where the installation directory is in parallel with the gcc-3.3.2 source
directory.
This should be very straight forward, but when I try to make it, I get
the following error after about 30 minutes of compilation. Any idea what the
problem is?
(BTW, I get the same erorr with version 3.3.1)
