- Subject: RE: Solaris Freewhere Packages
Hello
When I test gcc with gcc -v -x c /dev/null to see if gcc is working, I get
ld: Software Generation Utilities - Solaris Link Editors: 5.8-1.279
Undefined first referenced
symbol in file
main
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/3.2.1/crt1.o
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to a.out
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I can not get any of the gcc packages to install. I don't have a c++
compiler so I can't compile the source code. The error message above
indicates that gcc is not working as it should.
