Building on Old Dec's.

I have an old Dec 3000 which I want to compile gcc on.. But everytime I do
the configure it gives me the error:
newly created files are older then distrubition files.
Is there a way around this?? I can't change the date on the dec to the
current date becuase it is not y2k compliant and I haven't found any
pachtes for it yet...
