Re: how long until gcc3 stable?



Hey... my old alma mater :)


If you put this on the ugrad machines you might get a lot of confused
undergrads who all of a sudden can't compile their crappy C++ code that
previous versions of g++ would let slip.  On the other hand, that's
probably a good thing :)

On grad machines and "production" environments I dunno... so far I've
had no problems with 3.0, but you may want to wait a bit for 3.0.1 or
3.1 (judging from the amount of activity on other mailing lists, these
may not be too far away)

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
