That's because the GCC documentation often doesn't document features
that are supposed to be part of any C compiler. The ISO C Standard
specifies __DATE__ and __TIME__. Both, taken together, should
probably be enough for what you need. If not, you may try
-D__PROCNUM__=$$ :-)
