Compiling g++ for atmel AVR

I would like to try and compile g++ for other targets like the Atmel AVR. I
have tried to enable c++ the languages option to the configure command but
there was no avr-g++ binary after the compilation.
Is it possible to compile g++ for all supported targets? How would one
build avr-g++???
