Simple compiling problem with gcc

Hello,

My version of gcc :
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/egcs-2.91.66/specs
gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)

I'm working on a Suse 6.2 version, updated by packages coming from
directories a1, d1 or n1 of ftp sites. Kernel version : 2.2.10 i386

My problem is : compiling of any source file :
gcc -o hello hello.c
I get a message like this :
"cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 7"

Could anyone help me ??

Thanks.
