GNU Compiler for ADSP2106x (Sharc)

Hi everybody,

I have heard a rumor about a GNU compiler for the Analog Devices Sharc DSP's.
Actually we use the original Visual DSP Tool from Analog Devices and we do not
see good chances to finsih projects within a given time frame using such a buggy
development environement.

Any hints are welcome.
