We have all done this. I do know that with a bit more git savvy it is possible
to manage these multiple changes without doing things like save the diff, clear
it off, etc, etc. I dont have that degree of savvy yet myself, but I have used
git stash which allows you to "push" changes to a "stack" and pop them back
off. etc etc etc. Cheers.
