Thank you Sir.
I think it best if I stay with the nightly/test tarball found
at https://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/snapshots/LATEST-8/ and then
I won't have to fiddle with automake/reconf etc or be too
concerned with configure.am and all that jazz.
