Yeah, sorry it took so long, I almost forgot.  The patch for 4.6 has
been sent to the mailing list in
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2011-07/msg00827.html

This is now fixed on both the trunk and the 4.6 branch.
