See the documentation that comes with gfortran.
You can use
* GFORTRAN_UNBUFFERED_ALL:: Don't buffer I/O for all units.
* GFORTRAN_UNBUFFERED_PRECONNECTED:: Don't buffer I/O for preconnected units.
to control the buffering of IO.
