Attempting to build GCC for a powerpc-linux-gnu target. Host machine is i686
running Linux 2.6.31.6-145.fc12.i686.PAE
Get the dreaded "checking for suffix of object files... configure: error:
cannot compute suffix of object files: cannot compile See `config.log' for
more details." message. Looking at config.log (in powerpc-linux-gnu/libgcc), I
find a message telling me to report the segmentation fault of as. So, I'm
doing it.
What a pain it is to build GCC for this target. Any help is greatly
appreciated.
