Even if they did change it back people may still have one of these versions
since _all_ my versions of gas are less than a year old.
Oneis the "newest" that "apt-get" will fetch (IE: the "standard OS version"),
another is the newest snapshot, the last is the newest SVN compiled by me - so
each is actually "new", depending on how you look at it.
My patch only grabs the numbers.
If they change version numbering to "2.17.50.gamma.7.four" then were screwed.
I welcome anyone to write a better script. I'm just pointing out the bug.
When things "work" (however badly) in one part of gcc and then fail (but only
partially) in another spot (or work OK) then it can cause some weird errors
that are hard to track down.
