Hi James, and thanks for your explanations. Indeed, maybe better concentrating
on the v7-branch + documentation updates: as I told you already the framework
is already there and I will add very soon a different policy for not-refcounted
string + "short string optimization". Remains open the exceptions issue but
after all, now that I studied some materil, seems manageable.
But I cannot really reply in detail to your last message, now, just some
pointers:

Simply the series reprinted in "More exceptional C++", in particular
appendixes A and B.

Ah, yes, thanks. I read part of that thread, but have to re-read
it: in any case, will be not terribly useful for the work ahead.
