During the Stage2 build of 4.0.0 12-26-04 (fresh co), this happened:
../../gcc/gcc/sched-vis.c: In function 'print_pattern':
../../gcc/gcc/sched-vis.c:613: internal compiler error: in dwarf2out_frame_debug
_expr, at dwarf2out.c:1717
