I think the proposed patch at <http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2004-04/msg01604.html> had
fixed the problem but I have not tested yet.
The corresponding changeLog is:
2004-04-23 Laurent GUERBY <laurent@guerby.net>
* Makefile.in: Remove RANLIB_TEST, use -$(RANLIB) including after
install.
Did that fix it?
