Here are the versions that I use, which work:
WARNING: Couldn't find the global config file.
Expect version is 5.38.0
Tcl version is 8.3
Framework version is 1.4.3
"exp-debug" is not a file or part of a file that exists on
my machine - nor is it a string that appears anywhere in
the gcc source tree.
My conculsion is that your installation of expect / dejagnu
is broken or too old.
