Hi.

About point 1, I'm pretty much sure that our implementation is conforming in
its present form. Please read again carefully 22.2.5.3.2 and the resolution (TC)
of DR164, also the text at pages 432-433 of Langer/Kreft. Do you still believe
we *must* necessarily make use of the fill char in do_put?
