We should stop arguing on this level. If you don't like gcc, you are free to do so. 
 
Just saying that you'd like to have such a feature does not consistitute a bug. The 
standard says quite precisely which templates have to be instantiated, and I'm not aware 
of any bugs in this respect. Unless you prove that gcc is not doing the right thing by 
showing a concrete example and referring to the standard, I would ask everyone to 
stop continuing this PR.
