Re: c++/9265: exception handling faulty wenn linking PIC objects to non PIC ones

Some additional information:

1. This problem does not occur with gcc 3.2 or earlier.

2. This problem does also occur with Andreas' gcc package shipped with
SuSE 8.1 distribution, which is something between 3.2 and 3.2.1
plus some additional changes. So this is the earliest version I
have at hand that does show this problem. This means the bug must
be somewhere in the stuff that went into gcc on 3.2 branch between
   3.2 release and SuSE's 8.1 release (09 Sep 2002). People
interrested in the diffs of this release to the official 3.2
release can fetch the (bit later) source rpm at SuSE's ftp server
   (ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.1/suse/src/gcc-3.2-44.src.rpm)
and take a look into it.

Andreas, do you have older builds between gcc 3.2 release and SuSE 8.1
release archived at SuSE somewhere? This would make it easier finding
the diff that introduced this bug.

Or has someone else archived builds?

I do not archive my regular builds, because of space reasons.

Robert
