Synopsis: NEWS out of date and confusing
State-Changed-From-To: closed->analyzed
State-Changed-By: jsm28
State-Changed-When: Sat Jan 4 02:58:55 2003
State-Changed-Why:
Absolutely nothing has changed since the last audit
trail entry explaining the situation when I last reopened
this bug. The file that was NEWS became ONEWS, NEWS is
a generated file in releases, generated from the online
release notes, but they overlap for the EGCS period. The
remaining bug, as made clear in the audit trail and the
original Fix section, is that the top of ONEWS differs
from the EGCS 1.0 and 1.1 release notes and needs to be
merged into those (appropriate parts going into the
release notes for the respective versions in which changes
were made) then removed so that ONEWS remains news for
GCC2 only.
