More on this, what is wrong with taking the PATTERN of a JUMP_INSN or
in fact anything which satisfies the predicate INSN_P?  This is what
is causing the failure Andreas is seeing.

I think PATTERN() with RTL checking enabled is incorrect in this
regard.
