Bug report c++/4597

On October 17 I submitted bug report c++/4597.
As far as I can tell, the report has not yet been reviewed
and accepted as a bug.

I used the web-based problem report form at
http://gcc.gnu.org/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl
to create the bug report.

Since this is the first time I have submitted a bug report
to gcc-bugs, I thought I'd check and see whether I had followed
proper procedure in submitting it. If not, I'd be happy to
resubmit it in the proper form.

The bug in question is a very large stumbling block that is
preventing me from porting a significant code base from a
proprietary C++ compiler to g++. So naturally I'm interested
in having it reviewed and at least considered for correction
as soon as possible.

The bug report can be read at

   http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2001-10/msg00464.html

Thanks in advance for any response!
