Thanks. I didn't find this at

In fact, I had to use GNU binutils 2.11.2 for all

i386-pc-solaris2.7
i386-pc-solaris2.8
sparc-sun-solaris2.7

because Sun's as/ld failed, even I had both patches 107058-01 and 
106950-13 applied on sparc-sun-solaris2.7 platform
(http://gcc.gnu.org/install/specific.html#sparc-sun-solaris2.7).
