contrary to these instructions, you should report bugs to redhat for redhat gcc 2.96
at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/

fwiw, even the latest RPM of gcc (-69) included with RH7.0 is known broken
in many cases (I have had to deal with several of these myself, mostly by
just disabling optimisation). RH7.1 gcc is mostly OK for me.

RedHat don't appear to be interested in a new gcc package for 7.0, so you
can expect this to remain unfixed.
