  By the way, you mentioned 2.95.3 and asked where it came from:  it came
from the FSF, it's the latest official release of gcc (released just today!)
and it's good: it fixes lots of bugs in 2.95.2 and IIRC it supports glibc2.2
without needing a patch.  I would recommend you give it a go, since anything
2.95.2 can do, 2.95.3 can do better.
