That's strange, solaris2.7 is the platform where I tested the patch
before checking it in. You can see my recent solaris2.7 testresults
plus an independent solaris2.8 posting here:

Did you run configure from a clean checkout, or just cvs update a
previous build and remake? My defaults.h change does require that you
regen config.h.
