Re: bug: libstdc++ container allocator discrepancy

I would agree, except that the behavior I described did not exist in
libstdc++-2. I'm using gcc version egcs-2.91.66, which comes with said
library, and the allocators expected by its string and STL classes are
consistent. It wasn't until I tried gcc 2.95.2 with libstdc++-3 that the
problem appeared.

In other words, a problem was introduced with the newer compiler/library
distribution, that did not exist before. Thus my bug report. If I were
one of the gcc developers, I would want to know that my newer release had
broken peoples' production code.
