I don't know how far GNU ld support for AIX has progressed. Your
patch probably solves using GNU ld on the native target, but the functions
used by collect2 are in AIX libraries, so cross-compiles will not work.
There is no x-aix41-gld file, so the current definition in configure.in
does not make any sense.

P.S. GCC always uses collect2 now -- regardless of gld.
