Request for information.

Hello!
Request some information about the installation of the egcs compiler. I
have earleir tried to follow the installation instructions given in
http://gcc.gnu.org/
but always ended up with error stating
Error code 2
" fatal error: Command failed for
target 'install-common'"
Error code 1
commandfailed for target 'install -gcc'

PLease help me regards to that.

I was also curious to know if the egcs compiler was available on the eos/
unity network.. if so is there a way to have a copy on this machine too?
Thankyou,
Regards,
Nandan Kidambi
for Dr.Peter Wurman
