But you failed to merge them into a single tree.  There must be a
single root directory that contains directories such as `gas', `ld',
`binutils', `bfd', `opcodes', `newlib', `gcc', `libiberty', `gdb',
and so on.  I.e., you must move them from the top dir of each
distribution into a unified tree, and yes, you'll find duplicates.
You should usually choose the newest.
